Tamara Haggstrom practices a wide array of business and bankruptcy law, moving easily between formation and counseling businesses of all types and sizes, and litigation of the matters that arise through the lives of those businesses. Ms. Haggstrom is meticulous in ensuring that the intellectual properties of her clients are protected; all contracts are properly drafted, reviewed and updated as needed; and strategies for the client are established early when conflicts arise. Ms. Haggstrom also approaches the handling of bankruptcy matters with the same detailed focus, whether it is a Chapter 7, 13, or 11.

Ms. Haggstrom counseled thousands of individuals and businesses during her tenure at Parker Stanbury. The unique nature of that firm fostered Ms. Haggstrom's broadening her practice base. She practiced in her primary areas of bankruptcy and business, and also in the areas of Intellectual Properties (copyright and trademark issues, primarily); Entertainment law for the film, television and music industries; Art Law; and Commercial and Secured Transactions.

While Ms. Haggstrom was with the firm of Brinkman & Associates (now Brinkman Portillo, PC) she represented Chapter 11 Trustees in hundreds of cases, litigating in the Federal Bankruptcy Courts in Los Angeles, Santa Ana and Riverside. In addition, she litigated a variety of non-bankruptcy cases in Federal District Courts, as well as State Court matters all across the Southland.

In her early years of practice, Ms. Haggstrom was a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association Intellectual Property Section Committee. The committee organized numerous panels for seminars, and Ms. Haggstrom organized and moderated several of those panels.

Ms. Haggstrom earned her Juris Doctor from Whittier Law School where she competed in numerous national Moot Court competitions, achieving the quarterfinals in the NY Cardozo School of Law competition. She was an officer of the Moot Court Honors Board, and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Appellate Advocacy. Ms. Haggstrom continues to judge national moot court competitions for various law schools.

Ms. Haggstrom is an active musician and has performed in instrumental and singing groups throughout the United States and Europe. She graduated from the Grove School of Music Composing and Arranging Program, and continues to write and arrange musical works of all genres. She currently sings with the LA Lawyer's Chorus and Cantori Domino.
